NORSK SOLAR SIGNS DEAL WITH CME SOLAR TO PROMOTE SOLAR ENERGY SOLUTIONS

Mata Energy Co. Ltd - a joint venture between CME Solar and Norsk Solar established on 24th July 2023 while TWO market leaders with ONE mission - to safeguard Mother Earth!

Backed by Nor Fund and Finn Fund, a major Nordic sovereign wealth, Norsk Solar was established since 2017 operating in 4 countries and 3 continents with a total operating capacity of 100 MWH, and entered the Vietnam market since 2020.

Established in 2019, and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, CME Solar is a leading player C&I distributed energy market in Vietnam and Cambodia, with over 150 MWp operating rooftop solar projects and 120 MWp operating capacity as of August 2023 and significant C&I clientele, including Foxconn, LG, Hwaseung, Lotte and Puratos.

To further strengthen our market leadership and expansion in other key ASEAN markets such as the Phillippines and Indonesia, CMES has been actively establishing joint ventures with strategic partners in separated market segments and pursuing regional M&A transactions leveraging on market coverage of the JV partners and M&A targets, and CME’s centers of excellence in technical, financing, business development, project managemnet and O&M. We are proud to announce the establishment of Mata Energy Co., Ltd with Norsk Solar on 24th July 2023. This is our second joint venture after the first joint venture, which was established on May 29th, 2023 with Sumitomo Forestry.
