H.E DENNY ABDI, AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA TO VIETNAM VISITED CMES SOLAR PROJECT IN SONG HONG 10 GARMENT FACTORY IN NAM DINH PROVINCE
On 24 August, H.E Denny Abdi, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam visited Song Hong 10 Garment factory in Nam Dinh Province – the pioneer in using solar energy for production He was joined by Mr. Bui Trung Kien (Vice Chairman of CME), as well as Mr. Nguyen Khuyen (Director of Song Hong 10 Garment JSC).
Ambassador Denny Abdi and the group discussed the efficiency and practical benefits of renewable energy, especially Solar Energy in a rural areas to improve the sustainable environment and economic development. Mr Khuyen also shared that thanks to solar electricity, the factory is not only saving the operating cost but also has enough electricity during the shortage of electricity.
They also visited one of the five solar systems at Hong Hong Garment: interior design and construction company, CMES. Located in Hai Hau - Nam Dinh, this project is one of five Solar Systems which Song Hong Garment has been using. This project is generating around 1,100,00 kWh annually. This is capable of offsetting 863 tons of Carbon Dioxide (Co2) emissions every year, which is equivalent to the emissions created by 186 passenger cars driving every day for a year.
